Young professional graduated as a structural civil engineer at the Escuela Politecnica Nacional of Ecuador. He enjoys the landscapes, culture, and gastronomy of his country in the company of his family. He is quite passionate about his profession as he continually seeks to provide feedback taking short technical courses and studying sociology. He is convinced that science as well as engineering should focus not only on generating solutions to complex problems of large cities but also to be oriented to fully meet the needs of vulnerable populations where the state is absent and resources are scarce. Wilmer believes that the best way to empower communities towards their development is to make them active participants in the process.
