Community Description
Rural parish in the province of Cotopaxi located in the Andean region with the highest percentage of indigenous population. The main economic activity is agriculture and also others related to commerce and construction. Local schools are overcrowded and lack sanitation infrastructure.
Project Description
Infrastructure component for water and sanitation:
Installation of 350 meters of pipe for connection of the rush.
Construction of a booth and installation and assembly of a pumping system with auxiliary hydropneumatic pressure equipment for water supply in sanitary batteries.
Construction of protection of cistern and installation of storage tank with reserve of 5,000 liters of capacity.
Construction of a primary wastewater collection tank with a chamber for a grease trap.
Installation and assembly of two modules for bio-ecological wastewater treatment with 10,000 liters of capacity.
Health component:
Workshops and trainings on WASH and TANDAS.
Community health workshop with various age groups in the community.
Anti-bullying workshop with school students.
Water care campaigns.
Mingas and preparation of a calendar of cleaning and cleaning responsibilities for the school.
Hygiene kit delivery.
