The “Guardianas del Agua” project has reached a new stage in its roadmap, leading to tangible and transformative results in the region. The change fostered alongside the communities is consolidating a long-term management model in which the strengthening of the social fabric and women’s leadership serve as the fundamental pillars for ensuring the operation of the infrastructure and the responsible use of water resources.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) and the Canadian Embassy for their strategic support and for placing their trust in this vision of sustainable development.
Thanks to this international cooperation partnership, communities now have concrete tools to break down stereotypes, promote gender equity, and ensure that women actively lead in decision-making spaces.
